An AI program voiced Darth Vader in ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ so James Earl Jones could finally retire

- The plan is to simulate it. With Jones' consent, Disney has worked with a Ukrainian company called Respeecher. It trained an algorithm on archived recordings of Jones doing Vader, apparently focused on his performances from 1977.

Dispatches from the Front
Back in 2019 when Disney+ was announced, I had conversations with my co-worker that Hulu would have to become Disney's HBO, a premium more mature side of Disney for the stuff that couldn't fit within the mouse brand. Turns out I was wrong on that one with TV-MA shows and movies on Disney+. However, when Disney fully owns Hulu, I still think it or FX should be one of the buttons that takes you to the premium side of Disney+ for all the shows and movies that don't fit within the general brand of Disney. Only Murders in the Building could fit in just fine with the other FX shows that will need a home when the hard bundle takes over, and perhaps ABC too.

Hi Brian, Tom, and Bryce,
One major difference between cable TV bundles and Disney's upcoming hard bundle, aside from the number of channels, is that Disney owns all the channels. There won't be carriage disputes between the hard bundle and any of the three channels that will suspend transmission during tricky negotiations. Also, thinking about whether or not Disney will continue to offer any of the three channels separately, I think an interesting data point is Hulu Live TV. I don't know when this happened, but Hulu quietly changed Hulu Live TV into a soft (for now) bundle of Hulu Live TV, ESPN+, and Disney+. You can no longer get just Hulu Live TV on its own.
So Disney and HBO Discovery creating bundles of their own channels seems inevitable. But I don't think we'll reach the streaming equivalent of cable TV bundles where channels from multiple owners are bundled together as the only available offering. The add-on model makes more sense for channels not owned by the parent company.
