I quit watching movies and TV shows I don't like. Why you should too
Fighting the sunk cost fallacy-- When is it time to bail on a show?- CNET's Amanda Kooser wrote an article called "I quit watching movies and TV shows I don't like. Why you should too" She got inspired from a Reddit thread on LifeProTips. Subreddit that started "LPT: Stop watching movies/series you don't like. Don't feel obligated to watch them all to the end. There are too many bad movies/series out there, just start a new one or do something else." It got 42,000 upvotes and more than 3,600 comments.

That's up 13% in 2020 and also up 5% on 2019 making it an all-time high. Keep in mind that some shows meant for 2020 were shifted to 2021 which probably inflated the results a bit. Dispatches from the Front
You’re absolutely right that Brian agreeing with Tom about how much they liked a show or movie would be very boring. I appreciate that you often play devil's advocate to show the other side. But there are other options. You don’t have to talk about liking or not liking the show. You could keep spolerin’ time interesting by theorizing about what you think will happen next, or explaining why you think a character did a thing. What was their motivation? It would be great if you spent more time explaining what just happened, and why, and predict what will happen next.
